Show notes for episode 2 recorded 1/2/2009.
In news, we discuss the economy and motorcycling, websites that allow you to report road problems, police testing scooters, and an attempt to prohibit carrying a passenger under 14 in Canada.
We move on to motorcycle recalls from Ducati, Harley Davidson, Kawasaki, and Triumph. **I mentioned the NHTSA and may have referred to it using some incorrect nomenclature. The acronym stands for the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
In closing, we provide a quick review on Tourmaster Synergy heated gloves.

Well Im sold, You have a great podcast. I will listen to the rest and leave my comments. F.Y.I. If you looking for podsafe music for your show you can find it Jamendo.com. If you are not recording your podcast yourself you could at least find the music you like and forward it to your people.
Question:
I am purchasing a 2009 Yamaha V Star 950 Tourer (i’m a short dude) with crash bars installed for $9800.00 drive out. I was told this is a good deal, given to me because of the economic situation. Your opinion would be greatly appreciated as well as any other suggestions since I have not yet put pen to paper. Thanks.

Thanks for the lead on the podsafe music. I appreciate it. I am recording the podcast myself and do all editing and publishing as well so this could be a great resource. As far as the bike deal, given the rough economic times, my personal opinion is that they could do you a little better than that. Top line is about $9k. I don’t know your sales tax percentage but it still seems to me that you could get a better deal. I would go in and see if I could save myself $500 or so. Thanks for commenting!

Thanks brother. I put in a request for 9K with the crash bars installed and 3 year extended warranty. If they come back and say yes, I’ll be competely satisfied…I’ll let you know. I should hear something tomorrow.
Thanks for the advice.
